8 members of Sig Ep from Duke University went to Atlanta to attend the Carlson Leadership Academy on February 15-16. The conference provides interactive leadership training to over 2,600 undergraduates and volunteers annually, ensuring an officer will have the skills to manage a committee and have a unified vision for the chapter. The Chapter was awarded the Standards and Accountability Excelsior Cup award for their commitment to creating a culture where all members live in accordance with the values and expectations of Sig Ep and their respective university. Senior Matthew Conley (not in attendance) was given the Frank J. Ruck Leadership award for his dedication to new member integration and upholding Sigma Phi Epsilon values throughout his time in the Fraternity.
President Ryan Dant was accompanied by executive board member and sophomore Rob Baldoni, bringing along junior Jacob Granick (participated in Chaplain training), sophomore Chris Klasson (Member Development), and freshman Colin Kelly (Rising Leader), Sam Cohen (VP of Finance), and Zachary Horowitz (VP of Communications).
